NEW LINES - In response to our customers' needs, NorthNet has
established a number of new access lines. If you are currently
encountering busy signals or access problems in Plattsburgh, Lake
Placid, Tupper Lake or Malone, we encourage you to try one of these
new lines:
Plattsburgh - 699-3204
Lake Placid - 418-3204
Tupper Lake - 323-3204
Malone - 651-3204
If you encounter any problems with these news lines, please let our
office know as soon as possible.
We would like to remind our customers that for these numbers
to be a local call, you must be a Bell Atlantic customer and the town
you're calling must normally be a local call for you.
To change the number, double click on "My Computer" then
double click "Dial Up Networking." Right click on "NorthNet" and
choose "Properties." Edit the number at the top of the window and
click "Okay." By following these directions you will make the
change a permanent one.
FREE MONTH! - We are offering a special deal to NorthNet
customers who are currently paying by check. If you switch over to
our Auto Charge system, where your credit card is deducted monthly
for our service, we will give you a free month of service.
All you need to do is go to NorthNet's home page at www.northnet.org and click on "Pay Your Bill." Here
you will see an option which states, "I want to switch my payment to auto charge." Check this spot and supply us
with your name, username and credit card number - it's that simple.
In accepting this deal, you are agreeing to continue with the auto charge system for at least one year. If
you revert back to paying by
check within 12 months, you will be billed for the free month that was
provided to you.
REACTIVATION FEE - Effective March 1, 2000, NorthNet customers who have been canceled for non-payment will
be charged a $25.00
reactivation fee if they want to start their account back up.
HOSPICE BRUNCH - NorthNet is one of the many North Country
businesses who have made a donation to assist in this year's Y2K
Hospice Gourmet Benefit Brunch, which will benefit Hospice of St.
Lawrence Valley.
The brunch is open to the public and will be held on Sunday, March 26 at Uncle Max's Restaurant in
Potsdam. Seatings will be held at
11:30 a.m., 12:30, 1:30 or 2:30 p.m. Entree selections will be
announced in local newspapers and are to be selected at the time of
your reservation. Diners will also have their choice of soup, salads,
bread and desserts.
The event will be staffed by volunteers. The cost is $20.00 per
person donation to Hospice, which is payable in advance or at the door.
For more information or to make your reservation, contact the Hospice
office at 315-265-3105.
