Invoices
In taking advantage of the technology being
provided with the coming of the new millennium, NorthNet will be sending
its invoices via e-mail to begin after this billing. If you prefer a
paper bill, please Click this mail link to notify the
Billing dept.
Note to all AOL and WebTV users: please call or e-mail NorthNet and
tell us your e-mail address so your invoices are delivered
correctly.
Online Payments
Many of our
customers have taken advantage of making their NorthNet payments online
through our secure server, and we encourage even more of you to join in
this hassle-free way to pay your bill. Simply go to the NorthNet home
page, click on NorthNet Services and then on Electronic Commerce. You
will be asked to provide your account number or username (the first part
of your e-mail address before the @northnet.org). You will also be asked
to provide such information as your name, address and phone number,
along with the type of credit card you have and its expiration date. You
will beasked to answer "Yes" or "No" to the
following question: "Would you like to have your credit card
autocharged every quarter?" It’s that simple.

Newsletter
NorthNet is currently in the process of
updating its web page, expected to be completed early this spring. This
will, therefore, be the last "paper" newsletter our customers
will be receiving.
When our page becomes updated, you will be
able to find out the latest in NorthNet news simply by clicking on the
News Updates option. This section will list the most current
information, and we encourage youto tune into our page on a regular
basis.
If you set your web browser to the NorthNet home page, the
site will already be in front of you to remind you to take a peek at
what’s new. Depending on what system you have will depend on how you may
do this.
If you have Netscape Communicator 4.x click Edit;
Preferences; on the left side click Navigator; on the right, change the
Home Page location to www.northnet.org and click OK.
If you have
Netscape 2.x or 3.x click Options; General Preference; change the Home
Page location to www.northnet.org
If you have Internet Explorer 3
or 4 click View; Options or Internet Options (the bottom one); select
Navigation tab; change Start or Home Page to http://www.northnet.org
Currently, at the end of the Newsletter on our web page, you can find
the most frequently asked questions by our customers the questions are
constantly changing. We encourage you to check this site if you are
snagged with a problem. We may have the answer you’re looking for
provided to you with just aclick. The questions/answers will be found
under the Updates location when our new web page is completed.
New Services
If you are a Bell Atlantic
customer, we now have even more options for you to gain access to the
system providing for fewer busy signals. The new numbers include the
following: (315) 229-2000 in Canton, (315) 296-2000 in Massena, (518)
241-4500 in Lake Placid, (518) 521-4500 in Malone, (518) 247-4500 in
Plattsburgh, (315) 535-2000 in Gouverneur, (315) 541-2000 in Ogdensburg
and (315) 221-0200 in Watertown.
All customers still have the
option to use the older numbers.
As we continue to try and find
ways to benefit our customers, we will also be expandingour services. We
recently established a presence in Harrisville, and that access number
is (315) 537-2000. Very shortly, we will be available to residents and
businesses in Elizabethtown.

connections for our new clientele.
Help Desk
So we may better serve our customers, our Help Desk hours
were recently expanded. You may now obtain assistance from 9 a.m. to 10
p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 1 to 10 p.m. on Sunday. When
making a call to the Help Desk, we ask that you have your computer on.
If our technical support staff personnel are not able to immediately
take your call, they will do their best to get back to you within a
half-hour.

Effective April 1, NorthNet customers will
receive 200 hours per month for their monthly fee of $14.95. We
are instituting this change to make NorthNet an even better bargain for
you.
